H. Adeniyi Taiwo
Associate Attorney
Mr. Taiwo has extensive experience skillfully litigating civil and criminal matters from inception through trial.
He began his career as an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney’s Office from 2009 to 2015, where he successfully handled a varied case load of felony crimes including assault, fraud, grand larceny, and narcotics, and conducted numerous jury trials from inception to verdict.
Mr. Taiwo then transitioned to civil practice as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Tort Division of the New York City Law Department from 2015 to 2021. There he defended the City of New York in personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, false arrest/excessive force, and labor law claims, successfully resolving matters through settlements, motion practice, and trials. In 2019, Mr. Taiwo was recognized for outstanding performance and received the Division Chief Award. He was also promoted to Senior Assistant Corporation Counsel.
In 2021, Mr. Taiwo relocated to Long Island and again served as a prosecutor when he joined the Nassau County District Attorney’s office as a Senior Assistant District Attorney. Mr. Taiwo was assigned to the Narcotics, Firearms, and Gangs Unit, where he prosecuted felony crimes committed by violent street gangs.
Because of his commitment and passion for helping people, particularly those that have been injured through no fault of their own, Mr. Taiwo transitioned his practice to focus on plaintiff’s personal injury matters. He has used his litigation expertise to successfully handle numerous personal injury cases, whether through settlement, trial, arbitration, and/or mediation.
